Theodora Of Vasta, holy virgin martyr of Megalopolis in the Peloponnese in Greece, lived in the 11th century. The Chapel of St. Theodora otherwise known as the “miracle church” is located in the Greek Village Vasta of Megalopolis in the Peloponnese. During a period raided by bandits, Theodora disguised herself as a male soldier in order to defend her village. As she was dying, she prayed to God “Let me body become a church, my blood a river, my hair the forest. The Orthodox Church celebrates her feast day on September 11.
